Computer Projectors

I need a computer projector… What are the best specifications to guarantee I will have the best experience?
Like hardware? and brightness? etc,
Money is not a factor; I will waste as much money as possible. I just want to know what I should look for (specifically) in a projector.
Higher the resolution (e.g. 1080p > 720p > 800×600), clearer the picture.
Brighter allows more ambient light in the room. For most use 2000 lumens is sufficient. Although more is needed for large evnues / high ambient light use.
Higher contrast (>10,000:1) gives “depth” to the picture (although it won’t show up if there is high ambient light (effectively limited to 2000:1) … only in a dim/dark room).
Wider lens zoom range (look for >1.6:1) allows for greater flexibility
Vertical (and to a lesser degree) lens shift makes placement (alignment with the screen) much easier.
HDMI input capability allows for (potentially) better picture.
Fan noise under 30 dB desirable in a small room.
Choice of technology (DLP, LCD, LCoS) is pretty much moot.
If you want portability weight/size is a consideration.
Look for 3 year warranty. Some companies have loaner provision to allow quick replacement if projector service required.
Consider bulb life. 3000 hrs is average in low power/eco mode (but note often not guaranteed past 90 days)
