My kitten scratched my other kittens eye. What can I do to keep it from getting infected?

Welcome Eden Quade! 4/21/2009 asked:
My little kitten “crack pot” scratched my older kittens “jack” eyelid (the inside..) when they were playing. Jack doesn’t seem to care. They both still play constantly. It doesn’t seem to be getting worse, it just waters alot. What can I do to keep it from getting worse or infected until it heals up on it’s own? Is there anything I can do to help speed up the healing process?

Get your kitten to the vet now - I had that happen with my Russian kittens and the one almost lost the sight in the eye. That’s when I started trimming nails at 4-5 weeks old!

In order to keep it from getting infected, you need to take you kitten to your local vet and they can look at and give you some kind of drops or ointment to help it heal…
